PROJECT 1

READING THE CONTEXT OF TRADITIONAL STREETS

In this project we need to research and analyze a street in Malaysia through sketching, in which I chose Jalan Sultan to focus on.

Through this project, I realized how the development and culture could impact the architectural heritage value of the street.

ASSIGNMENT

INFOGRAPHICS

In this assignment, we were required to choose a topic that were given (where I chose Vernacular Malay Architecture) to produce an infographic to test our understanding of the vernacular architecture that were discussed in the lecture.

Throughout this assignment, I had a better understanding of Traditional Malay Architecture by its rich history, conception of spatial layout, theories of building construction and more.

PROJECT 2

RESEARCH IN ASIAN ARCHITECTUTE

Finally, for this project, my group chose Jalan Tun HS Lee to understanding the problems on the street and creating an issue statement based on the problems that we found.

Throughout this project, I have a better understanding of the street using architectural aspects and how the old buildings' facade slowly fade away.
