PROJECT 1

ON-SITE OBSERVATIONAL JOURNAL

In this assignment, we were required to go to Sungai Buloh Leprosy Valley of Hope and observe the site. Following that, we must illustrate our observations in the form of a sketch journal and create a 10-page A4 sketch journal.

Thanks to this project, we finally had the opportunity to go for a site visit after a long period of this pandemic. Aside from that, I learned to observe the tangible and intangible elements of Sungai Buloh Leprosy Valley of Hope, it was a very meaningful experience for me. I'm hoping that I would have better observation, and look at things in more detail in the future site vits.

PROJECT 2

HISTORICAL RESEARCH REPORT

In this project, we were to do a historical study on the Sungai Buloh Leprosy Valley of Hope settlement, where we had thorough research and understanding of the historical, social, and cultural characteristics of the place as a group and conducted several interviews with local residents. Finally, we gather our findings into a report.

This assignment provided me with a better grasp of the significance of Sungai Buloh Leprosy Valley of Hope. In addition, I now have a better knowledge of how to conduct a research report. I also learned how significant is the place to the residents who have almost spent their entire life there, and also learned about their lifestyles.

PROJECT 3

MEASURED DRAWING

In this project, We are assigned with measuring the allocated building on the site and transferring the data into drawings as a group. We then constructed a digital model and then prepared a set of architectural drawings for chalet.

I now have a clearer idea of how to collect data and measurements from a building as a result of this project. When measuring the house, I also learned more about the layout of the chalet.
